Vaccinations

Flu and pneumonia vaccinations

Flu vaccination is safe and effective. It’s offered every year through the NHS to help protect people at risk of getting seriously ill from flu.

In accordance with Department of Health guidelines, we recommend an influenza vaccine for patients aged 65 years and over, patients with chronic heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes and residents of nursing and rest homes. The vaccination is available in October onwards. Pneumonia vaccine is recommended as determined by national guidelines, and those with chronic illnesses as listed above. Please ask at reception.

The NHS website provides information about who can get it, how to book and where to get the vaccine.
